Britney Watch Gets Wierd...er

Britney Spears paparazzi hit alltime low with ambulance chasing antics

This Week’s Top Scrooge

By ALEXANDER
TheScroogeReport.com

Britney Spears in ambulance

First, there was the Britney Death Poll contest introduced by a radio jock. Then, months of inane Britney videos and photos of her in cars, and getting in and out of cars. Now, photographers competing for the best ambulance shots featured photags literally chasing her ambulance Thursday night, sticking cameras in the emergency vehicle window.

As of Friday morning, Spears was still at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center on a "5150 hold," meaning there's evidence she's a danger to herself or others, TMZ said. This news after the Los Angeles Police Department was called to Spears' home to investigate a custody dispute around 8 p.m. PST.

Iowa Caucus news ended last night with the Breaking Britney News and video of the shark attack-like scene of photographers. Close to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center a photographer can be seen trying to hang on to the back of the ambulance, camera in one hand, shooting inside through the window as the vehicle approaches.

One on-scene reporter from a major cable news channel said she felt sick watching the meltdown of Britney unfolding before the parasitic media. Understandably so.

This Week's Top Scrooge goes to news agencies driven by Britney exploitation. It got ugly and I hope it doesn't get worse.

Big Boy, WKQI-FM Darken Radio with Britney Suicide Watch Contest

WKQI-FM 95.5 Detroit’s Britney Suicide Watch

This Week’s Top Scrooge - October 5, 2007

By ALEXANDER
TheScroogeReport.com

Poking fun at people can be fun. How many of us have wisecracked about Britney Spears? Maybe you were not the originator of a Britney "observation", but you're certainly up on her recent trials and join the finger pointing with seemingly the entire nation about her weak parenting skills.

How can we not help but shake our head as we are deluged every day with her tabloid headline making actions?

That said, DJ Big Boy and radio station WKQI-FM, better known as Channel 95.5 in Detroit displayed gross insensitivity when they announced a "Britney Suicide Watch" contest Tuesday night...

Leona Helmsley Earns This Week’s Top Scrooge Posthumously

"But God said to him, 'You fool! You will die this very night. Then who will get it all?

This Week’s Top Scrooge - August 31, 2007

By ALEXANDER
TheScroogeReport.com '

How many church sermons will include the story of Leona Helmsley and her dog, Trouble, this Sunday?

In case you missed it, Trouble...her pet...inherited $12 million. And for good measure, Trouble’s "fortunes" won’t be over even after her life ends. “I direct that when my dog, Trouble, dies, her remains shall be buried next to my remains in the Helmsley mausoleum,” she ordered. And she left another $3 million to ensure that final resting place is well maintained, including money for a yearly wash or steam-cleaning.

Twelve million dollars. That's two more million dollars than two of her grandchildren are getting combined ($5 million each) and $12 million more than her other two grandchildren are getting...because they are getting zippo as in nada, nothing, and zilch.

I don't make this stuff up, folks. Read the online story at CityNews.ca if you want.

If this is not a modern day parable to be told to congregations everywhere on Sunday, then I don't know what is.

NFL suspends Michael Vick indefinitely

RICHMOND, Va. - The NFL indefinitely suspended Michael Vick without pay Friday just hours after he acknowledged in court papers that he did, indeed, bankroll gambling on dogfighting and helped kill some dogs not worthy of the pit. Vick, however, insisted he placed no bets of his own nor took any winnings.

One More WWE Wrestler Goes Down: Brian 'Crush' Adams Found Dead

Another WWE wrestler tragedy

FOXNews reports:

The Web site WWE.com announced Monday that wrestler Brian Adams — known as "Crush" — was found dead, less than two months after the murder-suicide of professional wrestler Chris Benoit and his family.

Tampa police told FOX News that Adams' wife found him unconscious in bed and called 911. He was pronounced dead in the home when medics could not revive him.

According to biographical listings at Wikipedia.org and IMDB.com, along with wrestlers "Ax" and "Smash," Adams was part of the face-painting, leather strap-wearing tag-team known as "Demolition."

Adams was arrested in 1994 on steroid possession and gun charges. He was later acquitted of the drug charges, the sites reported.

Adams was forced to retire from wrestling in 2003 after he injured his spine in a match.

Sean Penn takes ‘love thy enemy’ to another level

This Week’s Top Scrooge

By ALEXANDER
TheScroogeReport.com

I used to be a peacenik. You know the kind. The one that wants to get along with everyone. The give-peace-a-chance kind. Also, the one that asks, "Can't we all just get along?" ala Rodney King.

So, I still kind of understand where actor Sean Penn's head is at when he goes to totalitarian led countries and hobnobs with psycho leaders. But I only kinda of get it.

In fact, I don't have much sympathy for Penn's "fact finding" tour in Iraq or his recent visit with Venezuela President Hugo Chavez. The whole enchilada tastes of sour milk.

Thirteen years ago, I was naive and misguided. I thought evil was something you could shake a stick at and it would go away. I understand evil better now and it is real and not something you can invite for a cup of tea...or a jaunt in the countryside as our friend Penn did.

I'm not a sappy American patriot either, but I love my country. Penn's schmoozing with a guy that hates the U.S. shows that although the actor may be intelligent, may really think he is doing what is best, he is really is quite stupid. So stupid, that I've picked him as This Week's Top Scrooge.

Note to Lindsay: 'denial' is not a river in Egypt

This Week’s Top Scrooge - July 27, 2007

By ALEXANDER
TheScroogeReport.com

Confession of sins doesn't come easy for some, even when the sins are staring you straight in the face.

Case in point, actress Lindsay Lohan, accused of drunken driving and cocaine possession after her second arrest in a month, has denied she was taking drugs. Not only has she denied taking drugs, she has denied she drove the car in which the now-famous car chase took place.

Just before Lindsay Lohan was arrested early Tuesday morning, she commandeered a car and took three men hostage -- this, according to the three men who were in the car with her. I viewed the testimony of the three men at TMZ.com and the dudes account of the evening seems credible.

For Rosie…a blog is a dangerous thing

O'donnell's "A picture is worth a thousand posts" depicts her 4-year-old girl wearing ammo belt

This Week’s Top Scrooge - June 29, 2007

By ALEXANDER
TheScroogeReport.com

I slept on it and I still don't get it. Why would a woman so anti-war, display a photo slide show of her child dressed to an exact mirror image of the images we see coming out of the Middle East - terrorist indoctrination camps parading children in militia gear?

Thought provoking? Well, yes. But at what cost?

Rosie O'donnell's idea of "art" is strange indeed. You see, that is how she is defending her post, by calling the photos "art". Once again, the Rosie Alert level is set at high.

This Week’s Top Scrooge - May 18, 2007

Paris Hilton

By ALEXANDER
TheScroogeReport.com

I think it's safe to say that we as a nation have been traumatized, victimized, and fearful of being held captive by Paris Hilton for the rest of our lives.

Please, Paris darling, let us go. You are really 'hot' and everything...I mean apparenty to someone out there you are hot. Not to anyone I know personally. But quit manipulating us. Quit taking up our space...you space cadet.

Is it our fault or yours that we have such an obsession with you?

I think it's yours...so, you are This Week's Top Scrooge. Like, sorry, I hope you don't think that's not hot. You know how you first thought it was not cool to go to jail and now you think it's hot.
